Speaker	:	Mr Tony Ip Tony is an Architect and Urban Designer. He founded Tony Ip Green Architects Limited with strong visions of environmental and social sustainability. Meanwhile, Tony is Chairman of Hong Kong Architecture Centre, Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), Director of Zero Carbon Building, HKGBC Green Building Faculty, Chairman of BEAM Society Ltd. (BSL) Materials Aspects Expert Panel, Convener of Green Product Taskforce for HKGBC, and Convener of BEAM Plus for School Projects Steering Committee for BSL. Tony has demonstrated a flair for multi-disciplinary practices and academic studies in the building profession. He received his BEng, MSc(Eng), MArch & MUrbanDesign from HKU, BBE(Arch) from QUT and MSt IDBE from University of Cambridge. He is a green building expert with qualifications of AP(Architect), HKIA, HKIUD, PIA, BEAM Pro(NB, EB, BI & ND), BREEAM AP, LEED AP BD+C & ND and WELL AP. He is particularly skilful with interdisciplinary design collaboration for sustainable innovation.

Details	:	The higher we live from the ground level, the more disconnected we feel from the natural world and even from each other within a community. Furthermore, the intense urban heat island effect in cities means high temperature in built-up areas, which leads to heat stress and other related health problems. The issues of health and comfort in urban space become even more complicated in face of the challenges brought about by climate change. With better understanding of the dynamics between the built environment and the microclimate, and advocacy of human-nature interactions in urban living, could we design a more liveable and healthier urban environment?
Remarks	:	The event will be conducted online via ZOOM. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the web link in due course to the online event. Please install the Zoom Application in advance at https://www.zoom.us/download. For Mobile phones, iPads & Android, install the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app from App Store or Play Store. For PC and Mac, download and install the Zoom Client for Meetings.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
