The PDD’s homepage on the HKIS website has been updated. More events with photos have been uploaded. The PDD’s history and list of council members will soon be published and its Chinese version will be ready later.

The PDD Council is now studying the possibility of compiling a list of firms that provide P&D services for posting on the HKIS website -similar to what the other Divisions have done. The preliminary idea is that each firm should have at least one PDD member among its senior managers and must be based in Hong Kong to provide P&D services. Furthermore, the PDD Council will further discuss the admission criteria at the next Council Meeting in September. If approved, we shall announce this to members as soon as possible.

In addition, the PDD Council is reviewing and updating the contents of the P&D Divisional Regulations with a view to aligning them with the HKIS bye-laws and other divisional regulations.

The PDD Annual Conference will be held from 9 AM to 1 PM on 18 October 2014 (Saturday) in the Surveyors Learning Centre. The theme of the Conference is “Review of Strategies for the Planning of Development Space and Renewal”. We have invited four guest speakers: the keynote speaker, Mr KK Ling, JP, Director of Planning; Mr KL Wong, CEO and Executive Director of the Hong Kong Housing Society; Sr Victor So, JP, Chairman of the Urban Renewal Authority; and Sr PC Lau, SBS, Chairman of the Hong Kong Coalition of Professional Services.

Our Annual Dinner will be held from 6:30 to 10 PM on 13 November 2014 (Thursday) on the 38/F, World Trade Centre Club, Causeway Bay. We welcome all members and their guests and friends to join.
