Surveyors' Work in Visual Inspection to Buildings - TVB News Interview
I was interviewed by TVB News on 10 August 2011 to give some description about surveyors' work in carrying out visual inspection to buildings. I hope that my explanation can help the public to understand more about our work thus enhancing our status in the society.

Promotion of Planning and Development Surveyors through Qianhai Shenzhen - Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone
As part of the work on promotion of Planning & Development (P&D) Surveyors in the mainland China market through the Qianhai platform, I have prepared an essay giving a brief description of our division and the works of P&D Surveyors in mainland market. Our Specialism
P&D Surveyors take the role as the overall planner & administrator of landed property development projects. The larger in scale of project is, more a P&D Surveyor can contribute.

These works are traditionally undertaken by different streams of professionals and overseen by the boss (investor) himself/herself. However, the current trend is that these works are best supervised and administered by a suitable professional. A P&D Surveyor, being a surveyor with high level knowledge and experience in all these aspect, is generally considered to be the most suitable person to take this post. The investor, after appointing such a suitable professional to oversee all these works, can be more relaxed and confident in making decisions. The decisions will be made with the support of through analysis and professional advice.

In short, the role of the P&D Surveyors is to assist clients to employ the best development strategy with justifications and maximize the development potential of a site for clients.
