This year, with two months left, has been a challenging one for the people of Hong Kong with no exception for surveyors.

Given the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will take time for the city’s service and tourism industries to fully recover. Private surveying firms already face a fiercely competitive business environment.

In times of crisis, members must uphold their professional standards as surveyors. They must not compromise their independence and integrity in conducting their daily activities.
