The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) has launched a series of Public Engagement Events in 2019-21 to promote Built Heritage Conservation with a grant from Built Heritage Conservation Fund (BHCF) under Development Bureau. "Maintenance and Appreciation of Historical Buildings" Creativity Competition, one of the events in the programme, aims at encouraging the public to explore, maintain and appreciate the historic buildings in Hong Kong and demonstrate their creativity to reveal the beauty and cultural value of them. The competition attracted over 750 contestants from more than 60 primary and secondary schools and other organisations.

Some of the winning entries are displayed at HKTDC Design Gallery from 22 June (Tuesday) to 12 July 2021 (Monday). The public can appreciate the beauty and the cultural value of historical buildings and get to know more about the significance of preservation and timely maintenance of heritage.
